Obedience

Sometimes obeying God means submitting to His will even when I don't fully know or understand what I'm submitting to. I am saying yes to any future event He has planned for me without any interference. Because I trust God, I know that His plans for me are good and that He knows better than I do what's best for me. I have also learned that if I plan in advance to obey Him, I put myself in a position to hear what He has planned for me and receive His grace to do what He wants me to do. I can also trust Him to bless me for my obedience. So today I choose to obey God even though I don't really know where I'm going and it's a little scary--I say yes to whatever God has for me. God today I say yes to Your will for my life. I give You permission to do what You will in and through me. Not my will, but your will be done. Lead me and guide me from this day forward. Give me the grace to go where You want me to go and do what You want me to do. And I thank You in advance for what You are doing and what You are going to do. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
